JIMMY RAYMOND PARADIS April 7, 1955 - August 19, 2011 Tragically on August 19, 2011, Jim went home to be with the Lord, at the soft age of 56. Though his time on this earth was short, he will be greatly missed by all the people he met and touched. Jim was predeceased by his daughter, Marcie Anna Paradis in infancy; his mother, Victoria nee (Kowalyshen); father, George Paradis and numerous uncles. Left to mourn Jim's passing are his daughter, Megan (Steven); wife, Claire; sister, Darlene (Peter); grandchildren, Logan, Noah, Alexander; special friend, Donna; niece, Madison; and nephews, Tyson and Austin, and numerous other cousins, nieces and nephews. Jim was a good student, and fast learner at everything he set his mind to. He enjoyed all sports, but hockey was his passion. He especially enjoyed his fly-in fishing trips with his buddies from CN. Jim loved music and learned to play the guitar as a pre-teen. He loved the time he spent with his daughter, while taking her to violin lessons. Jim was wed to Claire on October 9, 1976, and they were blessed with one daughter, Megan. Jim was employed with the C.N.R. for 37 years, he had just recently retired on May 19, 2011, and had only received one pension cheque from the retirement, he was so looking forward to. Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • My memories of my father are quite large. My father Jim Paradis made me the strong woman I am today and I'm proud to say it. He taught me to listen to a variety of music not just one type and closely listen to lyrics of songs. He also taught me how to use tools and put things together. I remember him always swimming in the pool and falling asleep in it LOL !!! He loved his pool! He was also quite fond of the many animals we got over the years rabbits, dogs, rats etc. My dad loved his grandsons more then anything in this world !! When he came to visit them he always had treats for them and I will never forget when I showed him the ultra sound from my baby Alex and he cried. He is truly missed by me and his grandchildren and always will be. Love you dad and always will . - Posted by: Megan Paradis (Daughter) on: Aug 21, 2012
