MADELINE JEANETTE ZELINSKY (née KOLINCHUK) September 24, 1940 - August 23, 2011 Peacefully, at the Concordia General Hospital, with family by her side, Madeline Jeanette was called upon to tend the eternal garden. She embarked on her journey on August 23, aged 70 years. Madeline was a daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and a great friend. Madeline is survived by her husband Edward Daniel of 48 years, her daughter Corinne Roberta (Adrian), her son Duane Edward (Angela) and grandsons Nicholas Duane and Wesley James and her sister Josephine Carol (Michael) of Lac du Bonnet, Manitoba. Madeline also leaves to mourn many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and many other family members. Madeline was predeceased by her parents, Mary and Stanley Kolinchuk, her grandparents and many aunts and uncles. Mom was always ready for a challenge and she faced her next journey with simple elegance. She welcomed the warm waters of heaven and the endless flowers she could smell and the animals she could feed. She always knew that there was something grand beyond that mountain, and somewhere a star is shining brightly because of her. We thank the staff of Concordia Hospital, both in the emergency and on 3E, for making her last days comfortable and peaceful, Dr. L. Tan for letting mom make her own decisions and giving her support and, last but not least, Dr. I. Mohammed for being her lifelong doctor and for just being there. A Memorial Service will be held in Madeline's honour at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St., Winnipeg, on Wednesday, August 31 at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow. A private interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba. Mom, you remain forever in our hearts and minds. Until we meet again...
