PATROCINIO (PAT) SUMABAT RAMOS April 14, 1931 - August 19, 2011 With great sadness we announce the sudden passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Patrocinio Sumabat Ramos, who peacefully passed away on August 19, 2011. Pat passed away surrounded by the love of her family at the Health Sciences Centre emergency room. Pat is predeceased by her loving husband Pedro. She leaves to mourn her daughters, Evelyn Ramos and Marlyn Cacho, (Aloy) and son Peter (Alice). Also left to mourn, are her grandchildren Christopher, Jennie, Marc, Marizza, Marcus, and Maverick, great-grandchildren, Kaycee Blue and Leonardo as well as Cacho, and Ramos family, friends and relatives. Pat was born in Balaoan, La Union, Philippines on April 14, 1931, and was married on October 29, 1953 to Pedro Amurao Ramos Sr. She was a seamstress in the Philippines and immigrated to Canada on June 27, 1980 with her husband Pedro and daughter Marlyn. Pat faithfully attended St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church and was an active member of the Lord of Pardon Group. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the outstanding care she received at the Health Sciences Centre emergency room, especially to Dr. Cam Peterson. The family would also like to thank Dr. Brian Penner at the Health Sciences Centre for his attentive care over the past 20 years. Lamay will be held Monday, August 29, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street. Mass of Christian Burial will take place Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, 250 Burrin Avenue. Interment will follow in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens.
