MARGARET (MAGGIE) ANN EDWARDS (nee CHATTERSON) December 28, 1941 August 23, 2011 Suddenly and sadly, with her daughters and husband by her side, Margaret passed away all too soon to join her mother (Lillian) and father (James) on their continued journey in the afterlife. Margaret was a loving wife, mother, aunt, grandmother (G-ma) and great-grandmother and has left many loving family and friends to mourn her. Margaret was predeceased by her mother Lillian and father James and is survived by husband Robert and her brother James (Sylvia). Margaret is also survived by her daughters, Cheryl (Mike), Debbie (Wayne) and by her sons James, Gary, David, Michael (Donna) and Douglas (Faydra). Margaret has also left behind her grandchildren Charlene, Nicole, Courtney, Cody, Evan, Aaron, Shannon, Wanda, Erin, Julia, Heaven, William, Kristen, Carlee, Johnathon, Stacey, Jaeden and Liam. Margaret also had three great-grandchildren, Ariel, Sheyanne and Matthew. Margaret lived her life to help others and would give what little she had to help someone else. She spent the last portion of her life caring for her husband Robert who suffered a stroke in 1996 and has been severely impaired since. Her final thoughts were of him and making sure he would be cared for. Although she put up a courageous fight against a quick and unrelenting infection, sadly this was one obstacle she could not overcome. We will miss you Mom and you will be remembered and loved always. There will be a luncheon on Monday, August 29, 2011 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at 53 Stadacona in the Common Room for her friends and family to get together and share fond memories.

  • Well Gma it's almost been 2 years since you closed your eyes & took a different journey in life, so much has happened here I just wish you were here, Of course the whole family is still fighting.. but I mean what else is new, they all like drama. I'll always remember what you used to say though "forget about those other ones nikki they ain't worth the fight" I went and seen grandpa a few weeks ago, he was pretty sick with the flu, your daughter apparently had brought him some 7up he was very happy with that..I miss you so much grandma I wish heaven had a phone so I could call you :( It has been said, 'time heals all wounds.' I do not agree. The wounds remain. In time, the mind, protecting its sanity, covers them with scar tissue and the pain lessens. But it is never gone.” My Darling Grandma © Margaret Rivera A woman of extreme strength, courage and love, Who was beautiful, soft and now peaceful and free as a dove. Someone on who our admiration was built around, For her womanhood, wife, friend and grandmother since she was brought into this ground. My Darling Grandma, we will forever hold in our hearts in which we have truly learned the most from, Your strength as a wonderful mother to our mothers and fathers, And which we hope to gain in raising your great-grandsons and great granddaughters. My darling grandma, we will always respect all you went through in your hardships and distinguished ways, Your ability to hold yourself with such dignity and pride in all your days, Your beauty shines in us all who were lucky to be part of your devoted family, We will carry you in our eyes, minds, and hearts in which we have a remedy, My Darling Grandma, that is to hold you close by all you have taught us to do, And to remember the beautiful woman we owe our lives to, For giving us life to blessing us with her strong inner spirit of courage, Her unconditional love and her sensual laughter, For being such a person in who will always and have always held deep in our hearts now and here after. My Darling Grandma, You are taking a little part of us with you as you follow your angels who will guide you to your precious place, May you look down on us with pride on what you brought into this world with your guidance in which you are now truly our angel of grace. My Darling Grandma, as you enter your new heavenly home, may you rest in peace for which you truly deserve, For you will be truly missed and remembered for your love and honor in which we will preserve. We love you always and forever and may god be with you. Love youu forever and ever NICOLE! - Posted by: nicole (granddaughter) on: Apr 18, 2013
