MAURICE AURELE PELOQUIN July 6, 1941 - August 2011 It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Maurice Peloquin on August 22, 2011. He was the proud father (Papa, POPS) of his children, Ginette (Luc) Perrin, Riel, Patrick (Carrie Ogg) and Dominique (Stéphane) Gosselin. He was the very proud grandfather (Pepère) of Justin and Chance Peloquin, Serge and Benoît Perrin, Renaud and Maelle Gosselin. He will be remembered by the mother of his children, Claudette (Malo) Peloquin. He also leaves behind his brothers and sisters, Jacques (Adèle Bremault), Auguste, Marie (Jean-Léon) Ouimette, Sister Cécile, Sister Annette, Arlette (Georges) Schamber and sister-in-law, Norma Hodge. He was predeceased by his parents Albert and émilienne (Sorin), brothers Jean-Louis (John), Paul-émile and Sister Albertine. Maurice was a very generous man. Everyone was always welcomed in his home and at his table. He had a witty sense of humour and nothing pleased him more than to make someone laugh. Having spent several years in business, he met many people that become lifelong friends and who would come to appreciate Maurice's gifts (be it wine, bouquet of flowers or dinner). He enjoyed his many summers at his cottage in Albert Beach/Plage Albert where he saw his children and grand children enjoy the beautiful beach and lake. His last few years were difficult with numerous health challenges but he never complained and never wanted to be a burden to anyone. We will miss him very much but console ourselves that he will now have 20/20 vision, no longer need canes and never need another insulin shot. Right now, he's probably sitting at a card table and enjoying a cold beer. Cheers Pops! On t'aime avec tous notre coeur! Flowers are gratefully declined. Maurice's family would appreciate gifts to the Canadian Diabetes Associate, 200-310 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB, R3C 0S6. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, August 29, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. at the Holy Family Church, 778 Archibald Street, Winnipeg. LECLAIRE BROTHERS in care of arrangements, 775-2220.
