EGON HANSEN Peacefully, at his home on August 23, 2011, Egon Hansen passed away at the age of 92. Left to mourn Ed's passing is his daughter Debbie and son-in-law Mark. He will also be sadly missed by his son Roy, grandchildren; Jennifer and Steven, his niece Kirsten's family, David, Susanne and Paul. Egon was born in Herning, Denmark, and immigrated to Canada in 1953. He took up residence in Winnipeg, where he was very involved in the construction industry until his retirement in 1988. The family wishes to express their many thanks and gratitude to Lisa and Chris of Interlake Regional Homecare for all their support, care and extra attention given to Ed, that made such a world of difference for him every day. Ed always had such a love for animals, so in lieu of flowers, a donation in Ed's name may be made to the East Beaches Animal Shelter, Box 51, Victoria Beach, MB R0E 2C0. A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, August 30, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street. Please meet at the funeral home at 1:45 p.m., and bring a lawn chair.
