Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARY (MAY) HEPBURN STOBBIE Peacefully on August 25, 2011 May passed away at the age of 76, at the St. Boniface Hospital, with family by her side. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Helen Stobbie, her brother, John Stobbie and brother-in-law, William Baker. May will be sadly missed by her sisters, Helen, Sadie (Philip), Renee (Brian), brother James (Susan), sister-in-law Joan, Aunt Mary and extended family both here and in Scotland. Family and friends meant a great deal to May. May was born in Glasgow, Scotland and came to Winnipeg in 1955. She worked for Eatons and then Air Canada retiring after many years of service. She loved to travel and visit family and friends, always having her camera on hand taking candid pictures of everyone. She also volunteered several years ago at the Golden Links Lodge. May loved to knit and over the years, her creations were warmly received by friends, family and charities. May also had a passion for doing jigsaw puzzles. Her coffee table would always be covered with bits and pieces of puzzles. May was a warm, generous, kind and loving sister, aunt, great-aunt and friend. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at the St. Boniface Hospital and a very special thanks to her family doctor, Dr. Roy W. Smith. A Celebration of May's life will be held on Friday, September 2, 2011 at 10:00 a.m., at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made to the Cancer Society or charity of your choice in May's memory.
