FERNAND TRUDEAU On August 28, 2011, peacefully at 8:15 p.m. at the age of 88, our dad, husband and pepère passed away. He was predeceased by his son Daniel, his parents Paul and Laurette, brothers Augustin (Hélèna) Grégoire and Simon, sisters, Sr. Cécile and Gabrielle (Hector). He is survived by his sister Sr. Simone and brother Arthur (Laurette), his loving wife of 63 years Rita (nee Lanthier), sons Roland (Darlynne), Simon (Loraine) and Marc (Joanne); grandchildren: Tyler, Trisha, Tanya, Erin, Jason, Nicholas, Natalie, Daniel and Monica, great-grandchildren: Reece, Liam, Alex, Mekenna, and numerous nieces and nephews. Dad was a happy, loving, gentle and caring man who was completely devoted to his family. He was a farmer and worked for Manitoba Pool for many years in the winter months, and he was also a school bus driver until his retirement. Dad was very involved in his community of Ile-des-Chênes. At various times he was a school trustee, and board member of the Caisse Populaire and the Recreation Centre. He was also a standing member of the Knights of Columbus. Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 2 at Notre-Dame-de-la-Miséricorde Parish, Ile-des-Chênes, MB. Interment will follow. The family wishes to thank the staff of 5ABC at the Taché Centre who took such great care of him. C'est à la fois avec tristesse et joie qu'on vous laisse partir.
