HOWARD PERCIVAL PAUL September 1, 1914 - August 28, 2011 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our great-grandfather, grandfather, and father-in-law Howard Paul. Howard was predeceased by his mother Ester (Bishop), father Percival, his wife of 60 years, Georgina (Jean), his best friend and son Ron, sisters: Mary, Ester, and brother Lenard. He is survived by his family: daughter-in-law Diane Paul, husband Peter, granddaughter Marla Paul-Merasty, husband George, great-grandsons Kaeden and Brenden; sister-in-law Gerd Paul, and many nieces and nephews. Howard lived his life with determination and conviction, always willing to lend a helping hand. Throughout his life Howard had many endeavors: greenhouse business, farming, developed Paul Boulevard, moved back to Grand Pointe in 1974. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting with his son Ron and good friends. Howard had a charitable heart and gave to many charities. Up until the last few months he enjoyed his social life at church, Robins with his coffee buddies, talking and recalling his past 96 years. He had great pride in his family, especially his great-grandsons Kaeden and Brenden. Pallbearers will be: Hubert Brodeur, Chuck Vankerkhov, Roger Carlson, Frank Ramage, Ralph Paul, Jim McFetridge. Howard fought to stay with us, until the sun went down and it was time to rest. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of one's choice. Funeral mass celebrating Howard's life will be held on Thursday, September 1, at 11:00 a.m. in St. Emile Church, 556 St. Anne's Rd. Interment will follow in the family plot at St. Vital Cemetery.
