LARRY BOROSKAE December 12, 1941 - August 31, 2006 Dad, Where have the past five years gone? For I feel it was just yesterday. That I stood at your bedside with tears rolling down my face. As I rubbed your hair from your forehead, while holding your hand. Wondering why you. I remember everything I said and did in our last few minutes alone. I leaned in super close kissed you on the cheek and thanked you for the most amazing life. I promised you that Mom and I would always stay together. I also promised that I'd never let Brady forget about you. Both promises are still upheld today. I then crawled in your bed. Put both my arms around you and said. I'll like you forever, I'll love you for always. As long as I am living my Daddy you'll be. I kissed you again and hugged you really tight and said you can let go now I think we can do this on our own . As the tears poured down my face, you made a sound. I knew you could hear and understand. As I stood up from your bed I remember praying to God, to just let you go. I bent down kissed you for the very last time and said I love you more than you'll ever know . As I walked out of your room I knew I'd never see you take another breath. Sure enough, hours later, I was told you were gone! What a blow I was served. Here we are five years later. So much has changed. Life has been good to us, this is true. But you have left such a void that can never be filled. What saddens me the most is that Brady has to grow up without his Papa. He was just 14 months when you left. Elmo and Nemo were his heroes. He is now six years old, getting ready to start Grade 1. He speaks English and French, plays hockey, baseball, is learning about football, in swimming lessons and is working toward a yellow belt in Tae Kwon Do. He has a heart of gold just like you. I always tell him that you have a front row seat to everything he does, and that you are cheering him on. I also tell him that you keep us all safe as you watch over us every day. He believes that you are in heaven resting beside the moon, that sits outside his window every night. I too take comfort on that. Forever in our hearts, and always in our conversations. We Love you to the moon and back!!! Jean, Jo, Larry and Brady
