Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLESLIE LYNN FOOT 1946 - 2011 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Leslie Foot on Tuesday, August 30, 2011, at the age of 64 years. She will be deeply missed by her husband Garry; her daughters, Kristen, Jennifer (Greg) and Katherine (Travis); her grandchildren, Kyle, Leah and another grandson to be born any day; her sister Kristen (Murray); and many friends. Leslie was predeceased by her parents, Claude and Pat Cruikshank and her first husband, Allan Pakulak. Leslie lived her entire life in Winnipeg. She attended Kelvin High School and completed a couple of years of Interior Design at the University of Manitoba. Leslie worked for over 25 years at Air Canada where she made life long friends and met her future husband of 37 years, Garry. Together, she and Garry had three beautiful daughters that she loved deeply. Never being one to sit around, Leslie also became the bookkeeper for the family business, Play It Again Sports, and later worked alongside her daughter at Glitz where she was able to put her love of artwork to good use. Leslie loved to travel and had the opportunity to visit London, Barbados, Japan, Greece, Hawaii, Aruba and Mexico (to name a few). Garry and her daughters are especially thankful for the family vacation they were able to take with her to Cancun in spring of 2011. Leslie's keen sense of style and design and her hard work ethic proved to be invaluable assets as she and Garry designed and built a beautiful cabin at Lake of the Woods. Countless memories and laughs were shared at the cabin with family and friends. Leslie's love of nature included everything from spending countless hours in her gardens to watching the wildlife at the cabin and on her beautiful river property. On one of her trips to Florida, she was even lucky enough to witness a foal being born. Leslie died much as she lived, with warmth, grace, poise and determination. Leslie will always be remembered by her friends and family as a classy woman with a very unique sense of humour. She was very strong and independent and was never shy about sharing her opinions. Her love of music and dancing were apparent until her final days. Leslie was able to beat cancer in 2000 and again in 2005, but this time she lost the battle. Leslie will be missed by everyone that knew her, but no one will miss her more than Garry and her daughters. She was a wonderful wife and mom and we love her dearly. Rest in peace Leslie, you deserve it. As per Leslie's request, a funeral service will not be held. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the charity of your choice.
