Date of Passing: Aug 30, 2011
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryADELE KULBABA (nee CHEVREFILS) It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother Adele, on Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at the young age of 65 at Riverview Health Centre. Adele leaves behind her daughters Sherry Kulbaba-Hoskin and Nicky (Scott) Chabluk, and her three beautiful granddaughters Randene, Janna and Alexandra. She also leaves behind her sisters Yvette David and Diane (Chico) Daignault as well as her nieces and nephews, Diane (John) Sauer, Brenda Blom, Rick Blom, Mitch (Tracy) Daignault and Rob Daignault, as well as a great nephew and nieces. Her little dog Pixie will also miss her. Adele was predeceased by her loving husband Bill, her parents George and Lucienne Chevrefils, her brother Gilbert Chevrefils, son- in-law Rob Hoskin, nephew Owen Blom and her two little grandsons, Tyler and Alexander Chabluk and brothers-in-law Roland David and James Blom. Adele was born and raised in Lac du Bonnet. After school, she moved to Winnipeg to work and this is where she met our dad Bill, and they were married six months later, in December in 1966. In 1981, they decided to settle in Winnipeg as mom started a new career with the Government of Canada in the agricultural sector until she retired in 2005. Mom loved spending time with her family at the cottage in Beaconia. Mom also loved travelling with her friends to Italy, the Dominican and Caribbean, and various cities across the US. In 2008, mom was diagnosed with cancer. Mom being the fighter she was, beat it and was cancer free for just over two years. Unfortunately it came back this past January. Again she fought hard, but was unable to beat it this time. Mom's perseverance and acceptance of this horrible disease gave all of us the inner strength to fight with her to the end. Mom you will be missed very much, you will always be in our hearts forever. WE LOVE YOU MOM! Many thanks to all of wonderful nurses at the Palliative Care Program who provided mom with the utmost care. A very special Thank You to our cousin Tracy for being there. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to either The Lung Association of Manitoba or Riverview Health Centre. Funeral service will be held Monday, September 5, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph the Worker, Roman Catholic Church, 505 Brewster St. A private family interment will follow later in the day.
