NANCY JOY SWENTY
Date of Passing: Aug 28, 2011
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryNANCY JOY SWENTY Tragically, Nancy was taken from us July 27-28, 2011 and brought home August 28, 2011. Nancy was a lover of animals. Her cats and dog were strays or abandoned, and she took them in and raised them. Nancy took great pride in both her house and yard, and loved to sit out and try to identify the birds that were attracted to her many flowers and birdhouses. Nancy had a contagious laugh and anyone that heard it, could tell it was her laugh and would start laughing too. She started working at the Fisher Branch Co-op in high school, then full time for the past 15 years. Nancy is survived by her mom and best friend, Gladys Swenty, whom she was very close to. It was a very special relationship. Her boyfriend David Todoruk and his children Bryanne and Harrison; father Richard Swenty; half sister Stacey, cousins Brooke, Adam, Tanis, Dana, and Fred and great-aunt Marie; and godmother Cindy. Nancy had so many friends, Michelle, Tina, Diane and Erin and many more too numerous to mention, that were so special to her. They stayed by Gladys and organized a vigil and a light a candle for Nancy evening. The family would like to the Fisher Fire Department, in particularly Gord Wevursky. Mitch and Lacey and all of the officers in the Fisher Branch Detachment, all of the volunteers who helped to search for Nancy. All who sent food, cards and prayers. A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, September 5, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at the Fisher Branch Community Hall in Fisher Branch, MB. In lieu of flowers, donations may be to the Humane Society, Fisher Branch Fire Department or Manitoba Crime Stoppers. Be kinder than necessary, you never know what someone else is going through.
