MAXINE VICTORIA DORWARD Mrs. Maxine Victoria Dorward of Winnipeg, beloved wife of the late Mr. Conway Dorward, passed away on Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at the age of 95 years. Maxine leaves to cherish her memory two sons David of Winnipeg, and Richard (Pat) of Medicine Hat, Alberta, two grandchildren Darren and Dana (Paul) Augst, great-granddaughters Brooke and Kalynn, one sister Joyce (Gerald) Sadler, one brother Reginald (Joyce) of Vancouver, one sister-in-law Phyllis (Forbes) Thompson of Winnipeg, and numerous nieces and nephews. Maxine was predeceased by her parents Levi and Ella Young; sisters Georgie, Norma, Ruth, and Eileen; brothers Charlton, Herb, Ralph, and Jack; and one grandson Danny Dorward. Maxine was born on May 25, 1915 in Winnipeg, and was raised and educated in Winnipeg. She married Con on August 2, 1941 in Winnipeg. She was a dedicated wife, mother, and homemaker. A memorial celebration of life and interment will be held Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue.
