MARION ELIZABETH WILL (nee BLACKMORE) Sadly on August 29, 2011 Marion beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother passed away at the age of 91 years. Left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Mona (special friend Allan), Beth (Ron), and two sons, Dale (Linda) and Brian (Carol), ten grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, her sister Rogene White, and many nieces and nephews. Marion was predeceased by her husband Alastair, sister Eleanor Ritchie, son-in-law Ken Gibbons and brothers-in-law Bill Ritchie, Lloyd White, Ian Will and sister-in-law Betty Will and niece Sandra Ritchie. Marion was born in Ebor, Manitoba on August 8, 1920. She married Alastair on June 28, 1944 and resided on a farm at Maryfield, SK later moving to Antler, SK and then to Winnipeg, MB in 1963. Marion was a devoted wife and mother whose life centered around her home and family. She enjoyed square dancing, bowling, knitting, sewing, gardening and baking. She was always the gracious hostess to visitors and always made sure the cookie jar was full. Marion belonged to the U.C.W. of the Windsor Park United Church for over 40 years. She enjoyed a visit from young and old, and will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Special thanks to Dr. Burke and the 9th floor staff of Beacon Hill Lodge for the excellent care provided. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd., Winnipeg, MB with Reverend Dr. Sharon Wilson officiating. Interment to follow service. Viewing will be held on Monday, September 5, 2011 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and prior to service on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Alzheimer Society of Manitoba or CancerCare Manitoba.
