He leaves to mourn his wife of 27 years, Jeannine Caron (nee Allard), children Allan (Jocelyn), Mark (Gisele), Kim (David) Schellenberg and granddaughters, Lisa (Zach) Zabizewski, Natalie (Dan) Martin, Michelle and Chelsea Caron and grandsons, Aaron and Carter Schellenberg and great-granddaughter, Chloe Martin; also his sister Marlene Caron. Bob was predeceased by his wife, Doris (Mann), parents, Allan and Irene (nee Rochon) Caron, stepmom Georgina (nee Fraser) Caron and his big brother, Gerald Caron. Bob was born in Winnipeg, where he stayed throughout his life and raised his family in the Windsor Park area. He graduated from St. Paul's College and at one time managed the Niagara Mortgage Loans. He was a certified Real Estate Appraiser and performed appraisals for a number of Credit Unions under his company, Caron Professional Services. Bob also had a successful career as the Chief Appraiser for the Canada Revenue Agency from where he retired. Bob always worked to live, and had a great many interests. He was an avid boater, skier, musician, adventurer and explorer. The family was never home on weekends as we were always either at the lake or on the ski slopes. After retirement, Bob and Jeannine did a lot of travelling and purchased a getaway in Mesa, Arizona where they enjoyed a number of great winters under the desert sun. Dad was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend to many and he will be truly missed, especially his fantastic smile that could warm the coldest heart. The family would like to thank the staff for their compassionate care of Dad at the Taché Nursing Home during his three years there. Prayers and viewing will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, September 5 at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 Des Meurons Street. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 6 at St. Bernadette Parish, 820 Cottonwood Road, Windsor Park, with Father Fred Olds presiding.
