CHRISTIAN JOHN DE RIDDER It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Chris de Ridder at his home in Yorkville, Illinois on August 30, 2011, after a courageous six-year battle with cancer. Chris was born on August 2, 1946 and was raised in the Municipality of Springfield. He worked for Air Canada and Fleming Pedlar in Winnipeg, on the D.E.W. line, and settled in Yorkville where he and his wife Sandy owned and operated a communications company, CAN AM Communications, for 23 years. Chris was predeceased by his parents, Henry and Anne, his sister Mary Anne LaRosa, and his brother Tom. He is survived by his wife Sandy; his children Lisa (Jim) of Embrun, Ontario; Craig (Amy) of Ottawa, Ontario; Michelle (Jim) of Glendale, Arizona; Amanda (Richard) of Surprise, Arizona; Terri of Yorkville, Illinois; his most treasured grandchildren Kaylie, Jeremy, Sydney, Alexandra, Sarah, Cooper and Mathew; brother Henry (Donna) of Springfield, and nephews and nieces in Winnipeg and Calgary. A celebration of his life will be held in Yorkville, Illinois on September 17, 2011. Chris, you fought so hard to stay with us - rest in peace.
