KENNETH DOUGLAS BROOKS Kenneth Douglas Brooks of Baldur, MB passed away on Thursday, September 1, 2011, at the Baldur Manor in Baldur, MB at the age of 78 years. Ken leaves to mourn his passing, wife Betty (nee Hiscock) of Baldur, MB; sons, Karl (Vicky) of Kansas City, MO and Donald (Josée Chabot) of Winnipeg, MB; grandchildren, Jason (Lara) Konkin, Mélissa and Sara Brooks; and great-grandson Tyler. Ken also leaves to mourn his passing, sisters, Carol (Donovan) Benjaminson and Rosella (Phil) Peters; brother Ross (Elsie) Skubovius; sisters-in-law, Bernice and Doris Hiscock, and Grace Brooks; brothers-in-law, Jim, Glenn (Vivian) and Dale (Carol) Hiscock and Arthur Link, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, friends and co-workers. Ken was predeceased by his parents, James and Martha (nee Skubovius) Brooks; brother Jim Brooks; sister Hazel Link; sister-in-law Georgina Hiscock; and brothers-in-law, Austin and Bob Hiscock. A celebration of Ken's life will be held at Baldur Community Hall in Baldur, MB at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, September 4, 2011. Private family interment will be held in Roland Cemetery.
