FREDRIK (FRED) EDWARD MCLEOD August 11, 1927 - August 27, 2011 It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of our husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, Fred McLeod of Lundar, MB with his wife by his side on Saturday, August 27, 2011 in Eriksdale, MB. He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife of 25 years Mabel (Piper); his children Thomas (Kathy), Diane (John); stepchildren Rick, Kerry, Janet (Ken), Georgette (Woody); 19 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren; brothers Lawrence (Edna) and Lloyd; sisters Louise (Roy) and Lillian Hass. Fred was predeceased by his father Fredrick McLeod, mother Gudmunda (Davidson), brothers Clarence and Pete, son Roy and his ex-wife Mabel (Kirby). Fred worked at U of M Agriculture for 17 years. Upon retirement, he started market gardening in Lundar, MB. In keeping with Fred's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family service will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, Room ON1160, 675 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9.
