OLIVE GERTRUDE TRINDER Surrounded by family, Olive Gertrude Trinder (nee Waitt) passed on Thursday, September 1, 2011 at the Seven Oaks Hospital. Olive was born on August 10, 1916 in Baldur, MB. She will be deeply missed by her son John (Linda); daughter Sharon (Terry); grand-children, Scott, Shannon, Tammy (James), Shawn; and two great-grandchildren, Sophie and Rowan, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Bill William in 2003; two sisters, May and Blanche; and two brothers-in-law, Garnet and Jack. Olive graduated in 1938 from the University of Manitoba with her degree in Home Economics. She worked for the Province of Manitoba in Extension Service and as Head Dietician at the Grace Hospital. She then returned to university obtaining her degree in Education, working 13 years at Edmund Partridge and West Kildonan Collegiate as a Home Economics teacher. Olive was an avid seamstress, baker and an active Anglican Church member. Olive and Bill spent many happy years at their summer home at Granite Lake, ON developing many lifelong friends. Olive was a loving wife, mother, grandmother (Nana) and her family was her greatest source of pride. Celebration of Life will be held at St. Stephen's Anglican Church, 220 Helmsdale Ave., Winnipeg, at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 8, 2011 with interment to follow at Green Acres Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff at Irene Baron Eden Centre and Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg for their gentle and attentive care and assistance. Memorial donations can be made to St. Stephen's Anglican Church or Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg Foundation, 280 Balderstone Rd., West St. Paul, MB.
