CARL FUCHS April 20, 1939 - September 2, 2011 After a valiant battle with cancer, Carl passed away September 2, 2011 at the Riverview Health Centre. Carl will be deeply missed by his loving wife Evelyn; daughter Susan (Bill) Wiggins; and his four legged friend Goodcat; siblings, Minnie, Leonard, Viola, Marianne, Helen (Jake), Waldo (Marge). Carl was predeceased by his parents, Annie and Emil; and his brother Abe. Carl was born April 20, 1939 in Morris, Manitoba. As a young man, he started his career in construction with Paul Braun and worked for Nelson River Construction until he retired. Dad enjoyed cooking, tending to his tomato plants, trips with Mom to the States for a couple of days of shopping and gambling. Dad could often be found sitting outside with his cat on his lap. Dad's greatest love in life was his family. There was never any doubt how much he loved Mom and I. We will miss him greatly. Reach out if you need me, for I will always be near. Just talk to me, as if I am there, I promise I will hear. For I'll live on, within your mind, We'll never be apart. As long as you keep my memory, Deep within your heart. So lift up your hearts, don't be sad, my spirit hasn't gone. While you're still there, so am I, I really will live on. Respecting Carl's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no formal service. We will lay Dad to rest with his favourite Johnny Cash playing in the background.
