Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJAMES (JIM) LUNG JEUNG LEE It is with great sorrow that we announce the death of our cherished husband, father and grandfather (YaYa). Jim passed away on September 1, 2011, at Riverview Health Centre. He is survived by his wife, Grace; children, Joyce (Rolly), Connie (Jerry), Edward, Paul (Maryann) and Andrew. He also leaves behind five grandsons, Neil, Ben, Michael, James and Daniel. Jim was predeceased by his mother (Shuang Hee Chen) in 2001 and father (Fat Sing Lee) in 1943. Born and raised in Taishan, China, Jim immigrated to Canada in 1954. He spent time in BC and SK before settling in Mafeking, MB, his home for 19 years. He ran a successful business and achieved his ultimate goal, to provide a better standard of living for his family than what he experienced in China. In 1975 he was successfully reunited with his mother, bringing her to live with the family in Canada. He raised his children with strong family values. He placed great emphasis on higher education and ensured every one of his children completed university. Jim moved to Winnipeg in 1987 to be closer to his children. After his retirement in 1996, Jim pursued many interests, including golfing, fishing, hunting, volunteering, dancing, and gardening. He had many friends whom he treasured. One of Jim's greatest joys was being a grandfather. He loved to spend time with all of his grandsons, sharing his knowledge, heritage and culture with them. Each of his grandchildren's achievements was acknowledged with great pride. We have benefitted from his wisdom, experience, knowledge, kindness and love. He was the foundation of our family, and will be greatly missed. A celebration of Jim's life will be held at Glen Eden Funeral Home on Thursday, September 8, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. If friends desire, donations in Jim's memory can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6 or CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Avenue, Room ON1160, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3E 0V9.
