Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANN HYSCHUK (nee DERKSON) Peacefully, on September 5, 2011 at Lion's Personal Care Home, Ann fell asleep in death at the age of 89. She was predeceased by her husband, Leslie, in 1972. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her children: son, Lawrence (Toronto); daughter, Joyce Haip (Winnipeg); granddaughter, Sharon and family; sister, Hannah Kroeker and family; and by her large extended family of spiritual brothers and sisters in the Maples and Arlington Congregations of Winnipeg. As one of Jehovah's Witnesses, she believed in, and shared, the Bible's hope of life in a paradise earth, and as a result of her years of faithful service, many embraced the same hope. She will also be remembered for her hospitality, generosity, keen sense of humour in spite of the many obstacles she faced in her life, including failing health in recent years. Her constant encouragement to others set an example for those with whom she had association. Special thanks are extended to the staff and personnel of Lion's Manor Personal Care, especially the 4th Floor, for their care and compassion during Ann's stay. A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 10, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1060 Wolever Avenue (east side). Fred McLaren will officiate. Private interment will follow. To sign the book of condolences please go to www.knyshfuneralchapel.com
