JOAN ETTA HARRISON Long time Winnipeg resident. Joan E. Harrison passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family in Almonte, ON, on September 8, 2011 at age 93. Joan was born and raised in Southern Alberta and spent her early married life in Calgary. The family moved to Winnipeg in 1963 and Joan lived on Handsart Blvd. in Tuxedo for 40 years. Predeceased by her husband Peter James Harrison in 1978, Joan is survived by her four children, Marietta Hildreth (the late Glen) of Almonte, ON, Geoff Harrison (Laurel) of Toronto, Jennifer Makrecky (Steve) of Maine and Pam Harrison of Orillia, as well as eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
