RONALEE DA COSTA (nee SMITH) It is with great sadness that our family announces the tragic and untimely death of our Mother, Ronalee da Costa on August 10, 2011, at Regina General Hospital, at the young age of 61. Born in Winnipeg in 1950, Ronalee was a warm, private person who was filled with love and devotion. Ronalee met her first husband, Marc da Costa and graduated Brandon University while Marc and Ronalee started their family with the addition of son, Chris and daughter, Kori. After spending a brief period in Saskatchewan, Ronalee and family moved to Whitehorse, Yukon where eventually Ronalee and Marc separated and Ronalee met her current life-long partner, of 27 years, in Eric Knee. Ronalee, Eric and family moved frequently with time spent in Brandon and Ashern, Manitoba before settling in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. Ronalee was a vibrant, caring and special mother, wife, grandmother, sister and friend to every person who had the gracious luck of becoming a part of Ronalee's life. An 18 year breast cancer survivor, Ronalee was predeceased by her brother Jim, father Ron, and mother Doris. Ronalee is survived by her partner Eric, son Chris (Joella), daughter Kori, along with grandchildren, Kindra and Colby, brothers Bruce (Janice), Geoff, Jack (Tammy), sisters Jill and Nonie, stepdaughter Michelle (Donny) Williams as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A private memorial service was held in Moose Jaw Funeral Home on August 15, 2011 along with a tribute held in Ronalee's honour at Crescent Park in Moose Jaw. If friends and family wish, donations may be made to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation in Ronalee's honour.
