Sandra was predeceased by her parents Jean and Alex Symon in 1976, and her brother Bob Symon in 1995. After settling in Manitoba, she and Ron developed a passion for sailing and spent much time at Gull Harbour Marina on Hecla Island. They moved to Arborg, MB in 2008 and thus began another adventure of living the rural life. A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Arborg Community Hall. The family wishes to extend thanks and gratitude to her long time chemotherapy nurses Julie and Dale; as well as Dr. Patel, and her main caregivers: Dr. Pat Harris, Dr. Jeremy Lipschitz and Dr. Eileen Pang. Thank you also to the staff of the Health Sciences Centre Surgical Intensive Care and Burn Units who made her comfortable in her final moments. Your kindness will not be forgotten. If friends and family so desire, donations in her memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 2B7, in lieu of flowers. MACKENZIE FUNERAL HOME (204) 467-2525
