RICK STECK June 9, 1950 - September 10, 2011 It is with profound sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Rick Steck. He leaves to mourn his loving wife of 38 years, Lorraine, his only son Ryan and his fiancé Crystal, his father Fred, brother Wayne and wife Wanda and their families, a very special family friend Doreen, as well as many other extended family members and friends too numerous to mention. Rick was employed by B.A. Robinson for the past 10 years but had worked in the HVAC industry for over 39 years. He will be sadly missed by his many customers and friends. Rick enjoyed hockey and football, playing semi-professionally in his early years, and then coaching and watching games on TV. He also enjoyed puttering in the yard and playing with his favourite pooch, Domi. We are sure that Rick will now have the opportunity to resume his long standing friendship with Doreen's husband Larry, who passed away in 2009. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Rick's name to the Winnipeg Humane Society. A celebration of Rick's life will be held on Monday, September 19 at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens, 4477 Main Street. Glen Eden Funeral Home 338-7111 www.gleneden-mb.ca
