DANIEL EDINGER 1919 - 2011 It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our dear husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather Daniel on September 15, 2011 at the age of 92. Dan was predeceased by his wife Nettie (nee Brodoway); his parents, Joseph and Lydia Edinger; brothers, Edward, Alf, Andy and Richard; and sisters, Anne Kisser of British Colombia, Alvina Hutt of Tolstoi, MB and Rose Buss of Wisconsin. Dan is survived by his two sisters, Clara Toews in Steinbach, MB and Teenie Steiben of Winnipeg; his two daughters, Marilyn Fregeau (Phil) of Kingston, ON and Audrey Edinger (Dan) of Winnipeg, MB; two grandsons, Daniel and Clinton; four granddaughters, Barbie, Cheryl, Kim and Jennifer; three great-granddaughters, Sarah, Raven and Sophie; six great-grandsons, Thomas, Nathan, Myles, Eric, Christian and Ryley; and two great-great-grandchildren, Jayden and Mya. Dan was born and raised in Southern Manitoba. After his marriage to Nettie, the two of them settled in Winnipeg to start a family. Shortly after being married, Dan entered the armed services and served his country until 1945. After returning home, Dan began his career as a carpenter and did not retire from his trade until 1985. Funeral Service will be held at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg on Thursday, September 22, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the charity of your choice in Daniel's name.
