Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARIA LOEWEN (nee KAMPEN) August 27, 1929 September 17, 2011 After a full life's work caring for all those around her, Maria (Mary) Loewen gently passed on September 17, 2011. She will be incredibly missed by many, especially her husband, Willy; siblings, Tina and George (Mary); children, Garry (Johanna), Marlies (Herb), and Rudy; grandchildren, Tara (Brett), Mark, Andrea (David), John, David, Jennifer, Ryan and Madison; and great-grandchildren Noah, Liam, Campbell, Kaia, and Lucy. Mary was predeceased by parents, Maria and Gerhard; stepfather, Johann, and sister, Anne. Mary was an exceptionally kind and thoughtful woman, who gave selflessly to all those around her - be it her family, her friends, her church, or her community. Always working, baking, knitting, or comforting, Mary's quiet love was clear to everyone who knew her, and will live on in so many memories and in the values she instilled. Funeral will be held at Douglas Mennonite Church, 1517 Rothesay Street at 10:30 a.m. on September 20, 2011, with an interment later that day at Green Acres Cemetery. A viewing will take place prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a contribution to M.C.C., in honour of Mary's commitment to their Thrift Store.
