ALEX NENKA Peacefully at his residence, Alex passed away at the St. Adolphe Nursing Home, St. Adolphe, MB on September 15, 2011 at the age of 68 years. In memory of Alex a Memorial Service will be held in Alex's home town of Vita, MB on Saturday, September 24 at 11:00 a.m. at Vita Funeral Home, 256 Railway Avenue. He will be laid to rest beside his mother following the service. Arrangements by Vita Funeral Home Vita, Manitoba 1-204-425-3114.

Wish I had stayed in contact with him...I used to go to his place & toss the hardball around. He had a very strong arm despite his stature & played Q.B. for the Vita Jags HS flag football team & a pitcher for our ball team. He missed out being a pick up for the provincial by Steinbach by 1 yr. [overage]. In hindsight, I know he would have been a great pitcher for our Vita Mallards team.
