ANNE KERN (nee TRUPISH) December 10, 1920 - September 20, 2011 Peacefully at Tuxedo Villa Home in Winnipeg at the age of 90 years. Anne was predeceased by her first husband Rudolf Welz, parents Nellie and John Trupish, her brothers Bill and Peter Trupish, sister Mary Halagaza, nephew Larry Halagaza, and great-granddaughter Channel. Anne will be dearly missed by her husband Fred Kern, children Ernest Welz (Lorna), Gary Welz (Fern); grandchildren James (Theresa) Welz, Cheryl Welz, Monica (Christopher) Giles, Donna Welz (Re'jan) and Christopher Welz; great-grandchildren Shawn, Skyler, David, Tristyn, Gabius and Jude; niece Audrey Caralson; nephew Harald Trupish; great-niece Natasha (Curtis) Lausen, and great-nephew Hayden. She will also be missed by her brother-in-law Alex Halagaza and sister-in-law Jean Trupish. Anne left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Her spirit will live on in all of us. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church on the corner of Mountain and Andrews Street. Viewing will take place prior to the funeral at 12:00 noon. Interment to follow in Holy Family Cemetery. We would like to extend thanks and gratitude to all the caring staff at Tuxedo Villa Home.
