YVONNE HALLIDAY Peacefully on September 20, Yvonne Halliday passed away at the age of 73. She will be loved and missed by her husband James of 53 years of marriage; children Gary (Denise), Wendy, Debbie (Garry), Don; her beloved grandchildren Chantal and Ryan; brothers and sister Blain (Dorothy), Gail (Wally), Ronnie (Yvonne); sisters-in-law Florence and Helen; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Yvonne is predeceased by her parents Tina and Wilfred; brother Glenn; sister-in-law Phyllis; and brother-in-law Harold; plus many others. Mom was born in Oakbank on September 18, 1938 and married James on January 25, 1958. They moved to Transcona where she enjoyed being a stay at home mom. She was a loving person who often put the needs of others before her own. She lived for her family, enjoyed knitting and going to Tim's for coffee. All will miss her gentle ways. The family would like to express our sincere thanks to the care and compassion shown by Deer Lodge and Riverview Health Centre staff. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 24, 2011 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. In lieu of flowers, donations in Yvonne's memory can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
