FLORENCE CAROLYNNE LIEWICKI Peacefully, after a lengthy illness, it is with deep regret that we announce the passing of Florence on Saturday, September 17, 2011 at the Maples Personal Care Home at the age of 86 years. Left to forever cherish Florence's memory are, sons Ric (Angela), Ken and grandchildren Jonathon (Brittny), Travis (Michelle) and Caitlin. She was predeceased by her husband Mike; mother (Frances) and Father (Bill). Mom lived a great life. She loved to travel to the different casinos to test her skills against the one arm bandits and many times came back a winner. Her other hobby was cooking and we'll surely miss all the different dishes she would prepare whenever there was a family dinner. Her perogies were absolutely the best and she always made sure there were enough for all of us to take home. After Dad passed away, Mom was determined to remain as independent as possible for as long as she could and was driving herself to bingo, the casinos and shopping centers up until this past March. She was naturally proud of her sons but especially proud of her grandchildren and always excited to see them and learn what was going on in their lives. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Our family would like to thank the staff at the Maples Personal Care Home for making Mom's stay as comfortable as possible over the last month.
