ALMINE RUTH SCHAF With great sadness, the family of Almine Ruth Schaf announce her passing on September 22, 2011 at the Middlechurch Home. She is survived by one son Lawrence Nowell. Almine was predeceased by her first husband Albert Nowell, second husband Ernest Schaf, and her beloved brother Carl Smith. She will be greatly missed by Carl's family, Yvonne and many nieces and nephews that all loved her dearly. Almine was a founding member of Zion Lutheran Church where she was actively involved in the choir and Sunday School. She loved to sing and do crafts with her nieces. She also had several pet dogs that became her best friends. A smile was always on her face even during the last few weeks. The family would like to express their very sincere gratitude to the caregivers and staff at the Middlechurch Home for their unwavering patience, kindness and extra tender care. Funeral service to be held on Saturday, October 1, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Luke's Zion Lutheran Church, 2903 McPhillips St. (north of Templeton). Interment to follow service in Glen Eden Memorial Garden, Main St. Memorials may be made to a charity of your choice. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
