PHYLLIS ANN MICHALAK (nee TOFFAN) February 27, 1949 - September 26, 2011 Peacefully at Golden Links Lodge, Phyllis passed away on September 26, 2011. Mom was predeceased by her parents, Walter and Carrie, and her brothers Jerry and Gordon. Mourning her passing are her children Dianne, Jason and Johnny, her brother Gene (Kathy), her niece Laurah Lee, and many cousins. Mom loved raising her family, gardening, baking and was a passionate fan of Elvis. His songs entertained her growing up and provided her comfort and familiarity during her stay at Golden Links. Mom worked for the St. Vital School Division until the early stages of Alzheimer disease affected her life. We would like to offer sincere thanks to the staff at Golden Links Lodge for their devoted care of our mother. In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to the Alzheimer's Society. A funeral service will be held at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. on Friday, September 30, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. with a private interment to follow at Holy Ghost Cemetery.
