Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDONALD WALTER GNUTEL Donald Walter Gnutel passed away unexpectedly on September 24, 2011 at age 52. In his adulthood, Don studied at Holy Spirit Ukrainian Catholic Seminary, spent several years as a school teacher, followed by a loyal career with Canadian Pacific Railway. Don was very devoted to his family and enjoyed spending time and traveling with them. His favourite hobby was gardening and working outside. He always loved sharing the abundance of his garden with everyone, especially his garlic and onions. Don was a committed member of the Knights of Columbus for 34 years and shared his talents with many boards and committees both at church and in the community. He leaves to mourn his loving wife and best friend Michelle (Campeau), son Luke, daughter Amy, parents John and Iris, brother David (Genia), twin brother Michael (Mary), father and mother-in-law Joe and Irene Campeau, sister-in-law Jacqueline Daoudi (Abdou), brother-in-law Bernard Campeau as well as many nieces and nephews. Viewing and Divine Liturgy to celebrate Don's life will take place at St. Michael's Ukrainian Catholic Church, 400 Day Street on Friday, September 30, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. Officiants will be Fr. Mark Gnutel, Fr. Michael Krochak and Fr. Terry Cherwick. Pallbearers will be Stephen and Matthew Gnutel, Jamil and Tarik Daoudi, Randy Komhyr and Ken Martin. Interment to follow at Green Acres Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the following: Winnipeg Harvest, the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Siloam Mission.
