BRENDA VIVIAN LEDOUX June 22, 1962 - September 24, 2011 It is with great sadness and regret that we, the family, announce the passing of our beloved Brenda (girly) Ledoux, at the age of 49. Brenda passed away peacefully with family at her side, at the St. Boniface Hospital at 3:40 a.m. on September 24, 2011 after a brief and courageous battle with cancer. Left to cherish her memories are, her beloved and devoted son Christian Ledoux, partner Neil Van Schie, mother Violet Genaille, sisters: Ramona (Mervin) Cockerill, Sandra (Donovan) Ledoux, Rachel Robinson, Deanna Robinson, brothers: David Ledoux, Lucien Ledoux, nieces, nephews and many friends and relatives. She was predeceased by her sister Maryanne Neilson, father William Ledoux, stepdad Hank Unrah and her grandparents. After living in Duck Bay, MB, Brenda left for high school to Cranberry Portage, MB and graduated. She then went on to graduate from an L.P.N diploma. Brenda worked at Health Sciences Centre, Deer Lodge Center, Meadow Wood Manor and Heritage Lodge. She was a caring and devoted nurse and had fond memories of her co-workers. She also enjoyed gardening, fishing, bingo, her pet cat Jiddy and most of all, she enjoyed socializing with family and friends. Her favourite places to go were Dryden, ON, fishing and garage sales. Brenda will forever be remembered by her smile, her sense of humour, and most of all her ability to work hard by devoting her time to help others in need of help. A devoted Mother, Daughter, Sister, Aunt, Partner and Friend, she will be missed forever. You leave a legacy of love we will keep in our hearts forever, as love never dies. Memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 1 at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 Des Meurons Street presided by Rev. Mervin Cockerill.
