METRO (MATT) KOHUT September 19, 1938 September 23, 2011 With family at his side, Dad passed away unexpectedly at the age of 73 due to complications after a fall. Matt is predeceased by his father, Michael (1993), and leaves to cherish his children Mark (Baraby), Glen (Andrea), Bonnie (Allan), Louise (David), Francine (Sloyne), Darryl (Sarah), and Sharmain (Kevin), wife Laurette, and grand-children Jordan, Torie, Britain, Chase, Tasjia and Madden, as well as his mother Anne (98 years old), and siblings John, Mary, William and Elsie, and many relatives, friends and neighbours. Matt loved country music and had a passion for singing, song-writing, playing the guitar and violin. His other passions were oil painting, photography, flying model airplanes and piloting powered gliders. He believed the Bible's promise of a future resurrection to a paradise on earth where sickness and death will be no more. Matt requested that he be cremated (Cropo Funeral Chapel) and that no formal memorial be held. The family scattered his ashes at a location his children fondly remember enjoying with their Dad. The family wishes to thank all I.C.U. staff at Seven Oaks Hospital, especially Paul and Agnes, for their care, support, and compassion.
