Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHN LAWES August 30, 1925 - September 26, 2011 It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather and Uncle, John Lawes. John was born in Yorkton, SK to Rev. Alec and Ada Lawes. He began a career in sales as a young man, until he later decided to become his own boss. He purchased Gray's Auction Mart and later Potters. John and his wife Kay worked side by side for 20 years. Upon retirement they became snowbirds in Florida, travelled the world and returned to spend summers at Grand Beach and later Paradise Village. John was predeceased by his parents, his sister Mary, brother-in-law Jack and his son Peter. He leaves to mourn his beloved wife Kay, son David (Sue), grandsons Cory (Theresa), Scott (Crystal), great-grandchildren Christian, Zachary and Callie, and his nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Dr. Chatal and staff of Ste. Anne Hospital for all their care and compassion. Those wishing may make a donation in John's memory to Ste. Anne Hospital, 52 Gerard St., Ste. Anne, MB R5H 1C4. In accordance with John's wishes there will be no formal service. Rest in peace Dad, we love you Til we meet again.
