RONALD JONES It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Ronald Jones on October 5, 2011. Ron is survived by his wife Mary Mae, son Ken (Donna), Alan, and grandchildren Lorne, Sara, and Colin. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Ron was born in Dolgellau, Wales in 1921. He was a very popular member of his community and was without a doubt the best all round sportsman in Dolgellau in his time. He flew three tours with RAF Bomber Command from 1941 to 1945. After the war he came to Canada, joined the RCAF, retiring after 20 years. He was predeceased by his parents, William Christmas and Elizabeth, sister Betty, brothers Ivor and William. The family would like to thank Riverview Health Centre for all their caring support. A gathering for friends and family to celebrate his life will take place at 2:30 p.m. 4:30 p.m. on Friday, October 7, 2011 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that people may make a donation to the Winnipeg Humane Society or shelter of their choice. When I come to the end of the road, And the sun has set for me, I want no rites in a gloom filled room, Why cry for a soul set free? Miss me a littlebut not too long, And not with your heads bowed low, Remember the love that we all share, Miss me...But let me go. Ffarwel Tad. Ffarwell Taid. Farwell Father. Farwell Grandfather. Family and friends may sign a Book of Condolence at www.glenlawn.ca. Glen Lawn Funeral Home 982-7550
