Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHOWARD F. WHITMORE Passed away peacefully at Deer Lodge on the morning of October 4, 2011. Survived by his daughter Shirley (Fletch) Fletcher, stepson John Mann (Beth), grand-children, Robb (Joanne) and Chris (Laurie), Debbie, great-grandsons, Tyler, Kieran, Nick and Cameron, and siblings, Hugh, George and Eleanor. Predeceased by his wife Joan in 1969 and numerous family members. Howard proudly served in the Second World War with the P.P.C.L.I . He went on to work for the Province of Manitoba Corrections, retiring in 1984. In his retirement he enjoyed spending his winters in Mesa, Arizona with family and friends. He was deeply proud of his family and grandchildren and supported them in everything they did. He will be greatly missed and remembered. We would like to thank the staff at Deer Lodge Tower 5 for their care and patience. Memorial service will take place on Friday, October 7, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue with interment and reception to follow.
