Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJEAN HUSAK Jean Husak of Sioux Lookout, Ontario beloved wife of Stan passed away peacefully at William George extended care on Saturday, October 1, 2011 at the age of 84. Jean was born in Ituna, SK on February 10, 1927 to George and Pauline (Kresowaty) Moskal. Jean moved to Sioux Lookout in 1946 and married Stan on June 25, 1949. Jean was an avid gardener, enjoyed preserving, sewing, baking, and refinishing antique furniture. In today's world, we would call her a domestic engineer. Jean loved working with Stan whether it be at the camp or doing the accounting for his snow and gravel contracting business. Jean will be sadly missed and her memory will be cherished by her husband of 62 years Stan, daughter Joy (Wayne) and sons Lynn and Tim (Lisa), grandchildren Chris Favot (Marsha), Justis and Dylan Husak; great-grandchildren Kordell and Cortez Favot. She is survived by sisters Anne Bandola and Emily (Mike) Kressall. Jean was predeceased by her parents George and Pauline Moskal; stepfather Nick Wolos; brothers Steve and Walter Moskal; sisters Mary Badiuk, Julie Goebel, and Lena Mohr. Visitation and prayers were held on Monday, October 3 at the Sioux Lookout Funeral Home. The funeral was held at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church on Tuesday, October 4 at 11:00 a.m. with interment at the Sacred Heart Cemetery. Church bell ringer was Lynn Husak. Palbearers were David Carroll, David Gall, Myron Zatorsky, Walter Kressall, Ray Greer and Morley Hallen. The family wishes to express their appreciation and gratitude to the staff at Extended Care, Meno-Ya-Win, Dr. O'Driscoll, Dr. Kelly and other attending physicians for their exceptional care provided to Jean over the past several years.
