TREVOR RAYMOND JONASSON With heavy hearts we announce the tragic passing of Trevor Raymond Jonasson on September 22, 2011, in Yellowknife, NWT. Trevor was born May 4, 1975 in Winnipeg, MB. Trevor is survived by his parents, Ray and Faye, of Sioux Lookout, ON; his partner Betsy Lucko of Yellowknife; his brother Edward (Heather), their children, Alexander and Victoria of Aurora, ON; and his sister Tammy and her three sons, Evan, Tarron and Troy of Red Deer, AB, as well as many relatives and friends. Trevor will be remembered for his quiet presence, his infectious laugh, strong work ethic and most of all, his passion for flying float planes. He started his bush pilot career in Northern Ontario beginning in Armstrong and then continued farther north to work for North Star Air in Pickle Lake where he flew the vast majority of Northern Ontario for five years. Trevor continued his dream of flying in the North when he moved to Yellowknife and started working at Arctic Sunwest Charters, flying as a Captain of the Twin Otter. We have been so blessed to have known, loved and shared a journey together with Trevor. A Memorable Celebration of Life service was held September 28, 2011 in Yellowknife. Thanks to the many people of Yellowknife that welcomed Trevor's family and friends and made them feel like they were home. A special thank you to Buffalo Airways for donating their hanger, Arctic Sunwest Charters for the support provided to the family, First Air, North Star Air and Air Canada Jazz for their hospitality. I'll love you forever, I'll like you for always, as long as I'm living, my baby you'll be. The Family has created the Trevor Jonasson Memorial Pilot Fund that will provide scholarships to assist students that want to pursue a career flying in Northern Canada. In lieu of flowers, please go to www.trevorjonasson.com and make donations to the fund so Trevor's memory will continue to soar and live on. Fly high Trevor. Goda Nott Elskan.
