PATRICIA HARRISON (nee McBRIDE) Pat passed away peacefully with her children by her side on October 6, 2011 at Bethania Personal Care Home at the age of 68. Pat was predeceased by her mother and father Lorraine and John and her Aunt Mable Booth. She is survived by her children Jacqueline (Joe), Kimberley (Kelly) and Robert (Selena); her five beautiful grandchildren: Francesco, Marco, Mallory, Alyssa and Preston; as well as her sister Evelyne, nephew Hudson and stepfather Allen. Pat was a devoted mother; all her time went to her three children. She loved to bake and we loved it when she did - whether it was her banana cream pie or her fantastic shortbread. She took great pride in all holiday treats like her Easter bunny cake with the black licorice whiskers and her adorable Christmas gingerbread house. Mom was the closest to superwoman you could get, with house spic and span everything neat and in order as well as dinner on the table. Mom started her career at the Shriner's Hospital where she cared for the sick and injured children. Mom also worked for Health Sciences Centre for 19 years and suffered from a stroke at the early age of 54. She then resided at Bethania Personal Care Home for the remainder of her life. The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff for the love and care they gave to Mom and the excellent food she was nourished with. Cremation has taken place and a funeral service celebrating her life will be held on Wednesday, October 12 at 11:00 a.m. in the Coutu Funeral Chapel, 680 Archibald St. Interment will take place in the family plot at Brookside Cemetery.
