MARION LOUISE SAMPEY Marion was born February 27, 1925 to Harold and Anne Louise Matheson, and grew up in what was once farmland in North Kildonan. Marion was predeceased by both parents and her daughter Dale Jonsson. She is survived by daughter Shauna McLauchlan (Jim); brother Fraser William (Bud) Matheson; and nieces, Linda Thompson and Jamie Jensen and their children. Mom was also blessed to have the company of Jim's daughter Kaleigh McLauchlan and her daughter Morag. Cremation has taken place, and a graveside service will be held on Friday, October 14 at 1:00 p.m. at Old Kildonan Cemetery. A celebration of her life will continue at a reception at Bardal Funeral Home, 843 Sherbrook Street, following the service. Because one of Marion's great joys in life were the pets that lived with her daughters, Dale and Shauna, in lieu of flowers, the family asks that people donate to the Winnipeg Humane Society in Marion's name.
