MARK TERRY ROZMUS November 7, 1958 - October 1, 2011 It is with great sadness that we the family announce the passing of Mark on Saturday, October 1, 2011, with his loving family by his side. His memory will be forever cherished by his wife and soul mate of 21 years, Bev; his daughter Kim and grandchildren Micky and Tykira; his parents Eleanor and Henry; his sister Shelley, as well as numerous extended family and close friends. Mark was born, raised and worked in Winnipeg for the University of Manitoba as a Power Engineer. Over the years Mark formed close relationships with his co-workers and was fondly known as the H2O doctor . Mark was well respected by his work family and will be remembered by the many notes posted throughout the campus, reminding them of what needed to be done. Mark loved the outdoors, especially the winter when he could get on his sled and ride. Even though he wasn't fond of travelling, he soon came to enjoy the experience of being on a beach and snorkeling in the middle of winter. Mark loved to work around his house, where he was very handy and had the gift of being able to build or fix anything. He had a great sense of humour and enjoyed making people laugh, always thinking of others before himself. Mark had a passion for music, playing guitar in a band as a teenager, eventually passing on that passion to his grandchildren. He enjoyed the company of his friends, whether it was listening to music and dancing in the basement by the wood burning stove or sharing a few drinks by the warmth of a bon fire. As difficult as it is to let him go, we know his suffering has ended and he is now at peace. Family members would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at CancerCare Manitoba and Riverview Health Centre for the care and compassion shown to Mark. As Mark was an animal lover, in lieu of flowers a donation may be made in his honour to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg, MB., R3T 9Z9. Cremation has already taken place, with a private family gathering to be held in the near future.
