JOHN (J) ELIAS 1912 - 2011 On Monday, October 10, 2011 at Boundary Trails Health Centre, John J Elias aged 99 years went to his eternal rest. He leaves to mourn his passing three daughters Shirley Friesen of Winnipeg and her children Leslie and Bob Dunlop, Marlowe and Lori Friesen, daughter Frances and Ron Ginter of Winkler and their children Krista and Max Waddell, Kurtis and Julie Ginter, daughter Mildred and Paul Laing of Winnipeg; nine great- grandchildren Dillon and Riley Dunlop, Lyrik, Raelyne and Lyam Friesen, Jaden Waddell, Benson, Lauren and Kate Ginter. He was predeceased by his wife Esther Elias (nee Pelser) in 2006, son-in-law Bert Friesen in 2010 and all of his siblings. Funeral service will be held on Friday. October 14 at 2:00 p.m. at the Grace Mennonite Church, 1350 Pembina Ave., Winkler with Rev. Jerry Hildebrand and Pastor David Friesen officiating. Interment will follow at Winkler Cemetery.
