Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKATHRYN (KAY) DALTON (nee KUPIAK) 1921 - 2011 The angels sang Amazing Grace As God reached down and touched her face He whispered to her soft and low Come with me, it's time to go It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Mother on Monday, October 10, 2011 at Seven Oaks Hospital. Mom was born in McMunn, MB. and received her education there, later moving to Winnipeg where she met and married her husband Jack. After raising three children, she found employment at J.M. Sinclair (wholesale packaging) for 11 years and then Canadian Forces Base Winnipeg for 22 years, retiring in 1986. Mom was a very caring person who enjoyed spending time with her family. She had a passion for shopping and at every opportunity would be out looking for a bargain. She loved to travel and accompanied by her sister Anne, travelled to many countries in Europe, Ukraine, Hawaii, Hong Kong, Okinawa, Caribbean Cruise, throughout United States and across Canada. Predeceased by her husband Jack in 1969, sister Mary in 1931, sister Ellen and Ellen's daughter Elaine in 1971, mother Ksena in 1975, father Alex in 1979, sister Jean in 1989, brother Peter in 1991 and brother Nick in 2010. Surviving are her children Ron (Natalie), Richard (Monique), Marlene (Hank); Grandchildren Kyle, Krista, Craig (Karen), Wendy (Cory); Great-grandchildren Christopher, Tyler, Mackenzie, Brent; sister Anne Mastaler, brother Walter Kupiak as well as many nieces and nephews. A special thank you to all the nurses and staff of the Maples Personal Care Home for their care and compassion over the years and to all the staff at Seven Oaks Hospital. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 14, 2011 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (across from The Mint). Interment will be held in Green Acres Cemetery.
