CECIL WILLIAMS It's with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our beloved father and grandfather, Cecil Williams (Buddy), who passed away peacefully at 6:23 a.m., on October 9, 2011 at Riverview Health Centre. Cecil was born in Vreed-en-hoop, Guyana in 1933. He was predeceased by his wife Iris Williams, and leaves behind his children Debbie Pariag, Danny, Sinita and Patricia Williams, son-in-law Dennis Pariag; daughter-in-law Shereen Williams, and grandchildren Kelsey, Julian, Justine and Jordan. Cecil will be sadly missed by his common-law wife Sandra Rampersad and her children Dave, Naline and Manoje Rampersad, Rohna Houston and son-in-law Jeff Husack, Michael Houston, daughters-in-law Melissa Rampersad and Natasha White, grandchildren Noah, Shakira, Talina and Rohnin, and his many nieces and nephews. He was the brother to Randolph Williams and Leoni, Una, Barbara and Dassie. Predeceased by his sister Liz, and brothers Neville and Fredrick. Cecil immigrated to Winnipeg in 1973, and dedicated his career to working at the Misericordia Hospital until his retirement. Since Cecil was never one to sit still he was always ready to give a helping hand to those in need as an active volunteer with St. Johns Ambulance and a founding member of the Shanti Seva Sabha Temple. His vivaciousness, sense of humour, zest for life and love of golf was well known by his family and friends who loved Cecil very much. Cecil was also a huge Blue Bomber fan and avid bowler and gardener. He had a flare for the creative, anyone who received a card from him knew it was written and decorated with love. Cecil was always the life of the party, he made everyone he met feel like they were special and welcomed. A special thank you to the health care providers at CancerCare Manitoba, Riverview Health Centre and the Palliative Care Program. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, October 13 at St. Luke's Zion Lutheran Church, 2903 McPhillips Street, Winnipeg, MB 339-0412.
