Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryNELLIE FRANCES WEARE December 15, 1910 - October 5, 2011 After being blessed with a long and fulfilling life of 100 years, a kind and gentle soul has died. Left to cherish Nellie's memory is daughter Doreene Campbell; daughter-in-law Etta Weare; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; 10 nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; seven brothers; sisters-in-law; three nieces; a nephew; a brother-in-law; son-in-law; a great-grandchild; her husband Len in 1993; and son Bill in 1995. Mother was born in Parkeg, SK, the only daughter of William and Emma Davis. Her early years were spent in and around the Dryden, ON area. She married Leonard Weare in Minnitaki, ON, September 12, 1932. With Dad's employment with the CPR for 50 years, there were many moves between Ontario, Manitoba and Saskatchewan; sometimes moving every two or three years. Along the way, they made many long lasting friendships. Mum was blessed with good health all her life, a wonderful sense of humour and great kindness. Her quiet, kind, gentle and loving presence will long influence the lives of those she has touched. After Dad died, Mum moved to Richmond Gardens and spent 15 happy years there. She participated in as many events as possible, knitting gloves, sewing and bowling. She then enjoyed a year at Evergreen House in the Rosewood. Mother easily made new friendships wherever she was. She has been happy and content residing at The Convalescent Home of Winnipeg for the last two years, where she was loved and treated with respect and dignity. Thank you to all the staff for your care and compassion. On Saturday, October 15, 2011, Nellie's Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. in St. Michael and All Angels Anglican Church, 300 Hugo Street @ Mulvey Avenue, with Rev. Cannon A.M.L. Klassen, presider. A private family Interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations may be made in Nellie's memory to the memorial fund at St. Michael and All Angels Church, 300 Hugo Street N., Winnipeg, MB R3M 2N7 or to a charity of one's choice. May She Rest In Peace

I knew Len Weare when he was living in Lavahl Drive, Winnipeg. I believe he descended from the Weare family of the city of Bristol as I do too. The chain being kin to Mayor George Weare who was Mayor of Bristol circa 1760's, I descend from Thomas and Sarah Weare of Bristol of St,Phillips Plain where he was a Brewer. By 1902 our kin, Weare family branched out to Manitoba where their first log cabin caught fire alas but they built a new one ! werdnatwo@yahoo.com in Kalamazoo, since 2014 - Michigan ( 25 years in Alaska 1989- 2014..)
